Johanna Rittiner Sermier, artiste polyvalente suisse, se distingue en tant qu'auteure, compositrice, interprète et directrice artistique du Collectif Per Hominis. Musicienne autodidacte et vocaliste aux multi-timbres de voix, Johanna explore l'univers musical avec une passion contagieuse.
À l'âge de 26 ans, elle se découvre une passion pour l'opéra et entame un parcours académique au conservatoire de Sion. Sous la guidance de maîtres tels que Jean-Luc Follonier, Laura Sarti, Gary Magby et Klesie Kelly-Moog, elle se plonge dans l'étude du chant lyrique. Trois ans plus tard, finalise ses études de chant avec mention et félicitations du jury.
De fil en aiguilles, elle collabore avec Ouverture Opéra puis l'Opéra de Lausanne. En 2012, elle intègre le chœur fixe du Grand Théâtre de Genève, sous la direction de Chin-Lien Wu et d’Alan Woodbridge. Sa carrière florissante la conduit à partager la scène avec des chefs d'orchestre et metteurs en scène renommés (Olivier Py, Robert Carsen, Michel Plasson, Laurent Pelly…), et à collaborer avec des orchestres prestigieux tels que l'OSR, l'OCL, l'OCG et le London Philharmonic Orchestra.
En parallèle de sa carrière lyrique, Johanna reste active dans la création contemporaine, participant régulièrement à des performances mêlant voix et improvisation. En 2016, elle compose le premier album du Collectif Per Hominis, sobrement intitulé "Per Hominis".
En 2017, elle co-compose et interprète le rôle vocal principal du spectacle "Vive la Vie", une fusion audacieuse de chant, danse, théâtre, cirque et musique. Ce spectacle la propulse sur la scène internationale, participant à des festivals renommés tels que les Journées internationales de Carthage à Tunis, le Festival off d’Avignon, le Festival CIFCET au Caire, et bien d'autres à travers le monde.
En 2019, ses performances vocales et scéniques lui vallent une reconnaissance internationale, figurant dans la rubrique culturelle du journal Forbes chinois et remportant deux prix au 14e International Festival of Liberal Theater d’Amman en Jordanie.
Entre 2018 et 2019, Johanna co-compose la musique du spectacle "Noces de Joies", présenté en 2020. Durant cette même année, avec le Collectif Per Hominis, elle compose, interprète et édite l'album "Per Hominis II", un mélange envoûtant de folk sombre en anglais et de chanson française piquante. L'album attire l'attention des auditeurs à travers le monde, de l'Europe au Canada, en passant par la Russie et l'île Maurice.
En 2021, le Collectif Per Hominis revient avec l'opus "Per Hominis III", diffusé sur des radios internationales et salué par la presse en Suisse, Italie et aux États-Unis.
En 2022, Johanna compose et interprète la musique du spectacle "Tentatives", dont elle signe également la partie audiovisuelle. Elle participe à la mise en scène de cette création en collaboration avec Fernando Carillo (chorégraphe) et Nathalie Héritier (auteure).
En 2023, Johanna poursuit son exploration artistique et sa soif de connaissances en obtenant un Certificat of Advanced Studies en dramaturgie et performance du texte de l’Université de Lausanne et de la Haute école des arts de la scène.
A ce jour, sa discographie compte cinq albums de musique actuelle, et elle a contribué à la création de trois spectacles vivants contemporains, laissant une empreinte indélébile sur la scène artistique internationale. Johanna Rittiner Sermier, a versatile Swiss artist, stands out as the author, composer, performer, and artistic director of the Per Hominis Collective. A self-taught musician and vocalist with a range of voices, Johanna explores the musical universe with infectious passion.
At the age of 26, she discovered a passion for opera and embarked on an academic journey at the Conservatory of Sion. Under the guidance of masters such as Jean-Luc Follonier, Laura Sarti, Gary Magby, and Klesie Kelly-Moog, she immersed herself in the study of lyrical singing. Three years later, she completed her vocal studies with honors and accolades from the jury.
Thread by thread, she collaborated with Ouverture Opéra and later with the Lausanne Opera. In 2012, she joined the fixed choir of the Grand Théâtre de Genève, under the direction of Chin-Lien Wu and Alan Woodbridge. Her flourishing career led her to share the stage with renowned conductors and directors (Olivier Py, Robert Carsen, Michel Plasson, Laurent Pelly...) and to collaborate with prestigious orchestras such as the OSR, OCL, OCG, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Parallel to her lyrical career, Johanna remains active in contemporary creation, regularly participating in performances combining voice and improvisation. In 2016, she composed the first album for the Per Hominis Collective, aptly titled "Per Hominis."
In 2017, she co-composed and performed the lead vocal role in the show "Vive la Vie," a bold fusion of singing, dance, theater, circus, and music. This production propelled her onto the international stage, participating in renowned festivals such as the International Days of Carthage in Tunis, the Avignon Off Festival, the CIFCET Festival in Cairo, and many others worldwide.
In 2019, her vocal and stage performances earned her international recognition, featuring in the cultural section of the Chinese Forbes and winning two awards at the 14th International Festival of Liberal Theater in Amman, Jordan.
Between 2018 and 2019, Johanna co-composed the music for the show "Noces de Joies," presented in 2020. In the same year, with the Per Hominis Collective, she composed, performed, and edited the album "Per Hominis II," an enchanting blend of dark English folk and spicy French songs. The album garnered attention from listeners across the globe, from Europe to Canada, Russia, and Mauritius.
In 2021, the Per Hominis Collective returned with the release of "Per Hominis III," broadcasted on international radios and acclaimed by the press in Switzerland, Italy, and the United States.
In 2022, Johanna composed and performed the music for the show "Tentatives," also contributing to the audiovisual aspects. She played a role in the staging of this creation in collaboration with Fernando Carillo (choreographer) and Nathalie Héritier (author).
In 2023, Johanna continues her artistic exploration and thirst for knowledge by obtaining a Certificate of Advanced Studies in dramaturgy and performance of the text from the University of Lausanne and the High School of Performing Arts.
To date, her discography includes five albums of contemporary music, and she has contributed to the creation of three contemporary live shows, leaving an indelible mark on the international artistic scene.
